Hi. I am a student in my first semester of an MLIS program at SLAIS at UBC in Vancouver. I created this blog for my final assignment for LIBR 500 Foundations of Information Technology. I have never written a blog before so I’ll see how this goes and if I feel I like it maybe I’ll keep it up, or maybe make a new one. If you see any posts after April 11th then you will know I have continued this blog because the 11th is the due date for the assignment.

The focus of this blog will be the use of Web 2.0 tools in libraries, specifically Social Bookmarking and Blogs. I will be mostly looking at public libraries, but if I see something interesting about another type of library, I will still include it. I will also try to focus on libraries I have used or been to at some point in the past.
